Description
Now in its 11th year, the RSD River Ramble 5K race begins and ends on the campus of the Rochester School for the Deaf and "rambles" through the beautiful Maplewood Rose Garden Park and along the breathtaking Genesee Riverway Trail. This is a USATF Certified Route #NY12108KL. Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male, female and youth finishers in 10-year age categories.
Participants also have an option of walking a two-mile course along this trail, or venturing on the shorter one-mile "Family Fun Walk" to the Rose Garden Park and back. Note: If registering for the Family Fun Walk, please give your family a name (e.g. The Wilson Family) by clicking "Create Team" during the checkout process in order to receive the Family Fun Walk group rate pricing. You can add all of your family members (up to four total) at once during your registration or, to add a family member(s) later, simply click "Join Team" when registering that person at a later time.
All are invited back to the campus afterward for a family-friendly reception that includes plenty of free food, live ASL-interpreted music by "JAVA," free kids games (including a dunk tank and bounce house) and prizes, Deaf-friendly vendors/crafters, raffles and much more!
Plenty of free on-campus parking.
Note: Vendors and not-for-profit organizations can sign up for a sales/info table/booth by clicking on the "Store" tab toward the top of this screen.
