As much as it pains us, due to the realities of a combination of factors stemming from the Covid19 pandemic, we will be cancelling the 2020 edition of the Jeff Clark Memorial Silks and Satins 5k. We were holding out hope and looking at several different options including moving the race site and doing small waves etc... but in the end we feel this is the right decision. Just because it is legal to do something does not mean it is always the right thing to do. The health and safety of our participants, volunteers and community at large is always our number one priority.
There will be no virtual option for this event. Due to the plethora of virtual runs out there, lack of pre-registered runners, inability to re-create that opening track weekend feel and potential costs involved we feel it is better to focus on bringing you the best opening track weekend event experience in 2021.
All pre-registered runners will receive a refund. You do not need to do anything else to get your refund. You should see the funds in 5 to 10 days.
This cancellation will definitely have a negative impact on our beneficiary the Special Olympics of NENY.
To that end, we will leave the "Donate" button live throughout the summer and will pass along 100% of any donations received. If you would like to donate please do so and we thank you in advance.
Another way that you can support Special Olympics NENY is to take part in the Lighthouse to Lookout Virtual Mileage Challenge running July through November. 100% of donations and a portion of the proceeds will be given to Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House. This is a good way to have a long term goal and help out two good causes.

Thank you all for your support over the last 21 years.
We also would like to thank all of our yearly sponsors: Coca-Cola, Kings Tavern, Saratoga Today, Fasig-Tipton, and NYRA as well as the City of Saratoga Springs and the Police, Fire and EMS who always work hard to help every event be successful and safe.
We wish everyone happy running this summer. Please be safe out there. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Silks and Satins 5k on opening weekend of the Saratoga Race Track July, 2021.
Feel free to contact us with any specific questions.
