Run Left 5k

First we marched, now we run.

What is Run Left? 

In this political climate we're marching, rallying, and overall activating. So isn't it about time that we take all of this energy and pick up the pace?

Please join us for our second Run Left event, whether it be in person or virtual, on October 3rd at 10:00 am.  Run Left encourages everyone to protest while they run with signs, t-shirts, full costumes and more! This year, we are joining forces with Progressive Schenectady, and the party is continuing long past the finish line with the Progressive Schenectady Picnic.

Registration Info:

5K Race: $35.00 (on or before September 12, $40 from September 13-race day):

• Run Left t-shirt
• Post-race lunch with Progressive Schenectady (see below for details)
• Contrubition to local activist organizations (more info below)

Prizes will be awarded for:

• First place finishers for men and women
• Best prize costume- Be creative! Wear your protest on your t-shirt, carry a sign or dress as your favorite activist!

Kids (under 12) 1 mile fun run: $10

• Kid friendly activist inspired goodie bag
• Post run lunch

Meal Ticket Only: $10 This is a great option for friends and family who prefer not to participate in the 5K,  but want to attend and support their favorite runners and favorite causes!

Virtual 5K: $30 (on or before September 12, $35 from September 13-race day) Please share your running photos using #RunLeft518

Post race lunch with Progressive Schenectady

This year, we're excited to continue the party past the finish line. Each race participant receives a meal ticket for lunch and is invited to gather with friends as part of the annual Progressive Schenectady Picnic featuring:

• Live music donated by DJ Sean McLaughlin of WRPI 91.5
• Kids activities including face painting and lawn games 
• Raffle items

At the end of the registration section there is an opportunity to donate additional funds to your organization of choice, 100% of those additional donations will go directly to your cause(s). 

COVID Precautions: 

We will continue to monitor COVID conditions to ensure safety for all participants, vendors, and volunteers. We reserve the right to hold the event as a virtual only event if needed.

During the live event, all volunteers will be wearing masks, and we ask that participants wear their masks during pre-race activities, which can then be removed when the race starts and the runners are socially distanced.
