Start your holiday season this year with a run/walk/stroll with real reindeer. The reindeer are excited to get back out with the public! Some reindeer will walk with friends and family, and some will run with the runners. At the end of the run/walk, the Village of Manchester will sponsor a festival to begin the Christmas season. There will be free hot dogs, popcorn, s'mores, baked goods, cocoa, and coffee. Santa and Mrs Claus will be there for free pictures with you and/or your kiddies in his sleigh. New this year: the reindeer will lead a procession from the festival to join the Lions Clubs at the community tree lighting ceremony..
For the runners, this is a 1 mile run and also a family-oriented holiday event. The race course is an easy mile from the traffic signal in Shortsville on Route 21 to the traffic signal in the middle of the Village of Manchester. The race will be chip-timed at the finish. Map of the course can be found here.
For the walkers, the walk will begin at the Red Jacket High School and end at the same location as the runners. The walking route is slightly shorter than the running route (total of .7 miles).
