Description
Marty Egan grew up in Midland Beach and graduated from St. Margaret Mary’s and
Monsignor Farrell High School where he was a member of the track team. Marty was just
36 years old, a husband and father of 2, and had recently been promoted to Captain with the
NYC Fire Dept., when he responded to the WTC from Fire Dept. Headquarters on
September 11th.
Proceeds to benefit the Capt. Martin J.Egan Jr. Memorial Fund, which will finance a scholarship in Marty’s Name.
Donation: Pre-Race $20 ($15 ages 14 & under)
Race Day $25 ($20 ages 14 & under) registration from 8am to 9am
Pre-Registration, T-Shirt & Bib pickup: Thursday June 1, 6:30-830
pm Grant City Tavern, Fremont Ave & South Railroad or Race Day
8am to 9am
Course: Flat 3.16 miles, along Promenade/Boardwalk and back to
picnic area at Lincoln Ave and Fr. Capodanno Blvd.
