|Pirate 5K Rum Runner||
Grab yer pirate hat and decorate yerself for the 3rd annual Pirate's Weekend 5K event. Enjoy a 3.1 mile run/walk through the beautiful village of Sylvan Beach. This is a pirate's party race for the entire family, therefore, strollers and dogs are welcome!
The race will begin on Sunset Boulevard adjacent to Canal View Cafe. There will be free parking for participants as well as bathrooms available.
The first 150 pre- registered participants will receive a free t-shirt. After July 10th, you will no longer be able to select your own size for a t-shirt. They will be going to print.
Aside from the fun stuff, your participation supports a great cause. The Pirate 5K Rum Runner will raise funds to treat veterans at Sitrin who do not have adequate health insurance or who prefer community-based providers. Another component of Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program is the Military Civilian Coalition (MCC), which is designed to promote camaraderie, advocacy, educational opportunities and traditional support to civilian life. The program enables veterans and civilians to interact through social and athletic endeavors, such as fly fishing, TRX Suspension Training, therapeutic hand drumming, archery, Paleo cooking classes, wheelchair basketball, and more. Monthly gatherings take place at various locations in the community.
The race cost is $20 today and on race day. Children 5 and under are free and do not require registration.
Register TODAY and join the fun!!!
First place male and female runners will receive a Visa gift card.
