18 years showing the strength of teal through walking and running together. Will you join us?
Year after year, survivors, advocates and care givers join together to walk and run for an end to ovarian cancer. The Teal Ribbon Run/Walk, coordinated by Caring Together, Inc., seeks to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and raise funds in support of research toward developing an early detection test as well as more effective treatment options for women with recurrent ovarian cancer.
5K run and a one mile walk both start and finish at the Washington Park Lake House on the west (Madison Avenue) side of the Park. Paved roads throughout. There are awards, raffles, prizes, and ovarian cancer awareness materials.
The 2018 Run/Walk raised over $74,000 with proceeds going to support research and awareness activities. In 2018 we funded direct research grants, awareness booths throughout the Capital Region, educational programs and presentations, and created a new marketing strategy to reach more and more women. We even were able to give funds directly to research happening at Albany Medical College - something we will continue to do! This race funds all of those projects and more - thank you for joining us again this year!
