Kid's Course
The kid's loop will take place along the "workout" loop inside Thompson Park. The loop is .25 miles in length.
5K Course
The course will take place entirely inside Thompson Park.
Starting at the Mountain Monument, running past the zoo, down the hill and back up the paved trail past the golf course. This entire route is paved with about 300 feet of elevation gain. This route will be a 2 lap loop to complete the 5K distance. One lap around is 1.6 miles with a total elevation gain of 157 feet.
Event Description
Medal for the Red Kettle - Thompson Park - Watertown NY - 10/3/26
This will be the first Salvation Army run and hopefully an annual event! It is KID friendly - there is a fun run for kids to get a medal and enjoy the fall day! Running and walking are acceptable. All finishers will receive a medal. There will be apple cider, apples and water at the finish line. Along the course there will be an aid-station about halfway.
Packet Pickup: October 2 from 12-4pm at the Salvation Army on State St (723 State St. Watertown NY 13601) inside the building from the State Street entrance. Race day Packet Pickup will be from 8-845am at Thompson Park for those unable to attend the 2nd.
