Whether you’re up for running, walking, or just cheering others on, you’ll certainly enjoy this unique opportunity to raise money for the Sky Lake Campership Fund!
A shuttle will be available between the parking area on West Shore to the race check-in/start location on East Shore.
Coat/bag check will be available in Founders’ Lodge for a free-will donation.
A ticket for the hot dog roast is included with your paid 5K registration.
This is a classic trail run/walk through the woods of Sky Lake. While the route is set on developed hiking trails (with a couple grassy portions thrown in), be prepared for: uneven terrain; lots of tree roots; some rocks; a couple hills; and yes, even a few muddy spots for good measure. Please wear appropriate footwear! The 5K race will be timed using Webscorer.com.
Please note that in the event that conditions do not allow for our trail system to be used for the race, we will use an alternate lap course incorporating the West Shore Field and Campground Road.
Each summer hundreds of campers, volunteers, and paid staff enjoy classic camp programs designed for children, youth, families, and individuals with special needs. In addition to the funding available from local churches and organizations, almost 25% of our campers rely on the Campership Fund to make a week at Sky Lake possible.
Check-in will be in Founders' Lodge on the East Shore and will be open from 1:30-3:00pm (walk-in registrations welcome, but please arrive early to complete registration before check-in closes at 3:00pm.) Please note that parking will be on the West Shore, so you will want to arrive by 2:30pm. Shuttle service will be available all afternoon.
