Join us for Estella’s Memorial 5K Run/Walk to Cure Pancreatic Cancer.
Come together with family and friends for a meaningful cause in loving memory of Estella
Clasen hosted by Bohemia Track Club. This special event is a fundraiser for supporting groundbreaking research in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Enjoy a scenic, family-friendly 5K run/walk through the beautiful grounds of the Suffolk County
Farm and Education Center, operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk
County. This unique venue offers a picturesque backdrop with its open fields,
farm setting and historic barn. Come run, walk, or cheer—and help make a difference in the fight against
pancreatic cancer. Every step supports a future with better treatments and hope for a cure.
Please Note: Due to the presence of farm animals, dogs are not permitted on the farm at any
time.
About Estella
Estella Clasen taught physical education at the Central Islip School District for 33 years. Significantly, Estella did not just teach the importance of exercise and fitness, she exemplified it and was an excellent role model for her many hundreds of students. Besides being a devoted runner and race walker for over 40 years, she was also an accomplished ballroom dancer, competing in National Amateur DanceSport Championships. Estella was also a long-time member of the Bohemia Track Club where she once served as president and continued to act as membership director until her passing. Let’s win this “Race to Cure Pancreatic Cancer” to lessen or prevent the future suffering of so many victims of this terrible disease.

Top 3 Overall Male and Female receive a farm pumpkin!
First place finishers in each age group also receive a farm pumpkin! U20, 20-29, and continuing in ten-year age groups.
Post Race Refreshments
Join us after the run/walk for a time of sharing and celebrating our awesome running community with some post race treats! All are welcome to stay and spend time at the farm and explore all there is to offer.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up will be held on race day morning. All you need to do is let us know your name! Beginning at 7:45 am until 8:45 am. Race starts promptly at 9:00 am.
