City Of Yonkers: Jingle Jam Virtual 5K

CITY OF YONKERS, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND CONSERVATION - SPRING 2020 VIRTUAL RUN / WALK

RUN / WALK DETAILS:

• Start Date: Thursday, December 24th  - End Date: Thursday, December 31st
• Registration Fee: No fees! This is about staying active and for community awareness
• Distance: 5K (3.1 miles) - you chose outdoors or indoors
• Ages: all ages welcome to participate
• Important: If you are running or walking outside - social distancing rules are to be in effect at all times

HOW DOES THIS VIRTUAL RUN / WALK WORK:

• Sign up today via RunSignUp
• All participants will have access to download and print a participant bib (this is not required to participate) via the Parks Department Website.
• To print your participant bib: Please CLICK HERE  Then Scroll down to HOW DOES THIS VIRTUAL RUN / WALK WORK and the link is there; within the 2nd bullet. This is your bib - please get creative and customize it however you want. Have fun with it! (if you have any issues accessing / printing your bib, please email us). 
• All participants can decide where they want to walk or run: outside or inside (treadmill or indoor walking video)
• Send us your proof of participation:
  • Outdoor participants:  send us a picture of yourself and a screenshot of your tracking device with your final results
  • Indoor participants using a treadmill:  send us a picture of yourself and a picture of your treadmill screen showing your final results
  • Indoor participants using a walking video: just email us letting us know you completed it. We trust you! 
• Where do we send the proof of participation?
  • Please send your full name, distance, and pictures to: Yonkers.Marathon@yonkersny.gov . If you printed and customized a bib, please send us a photo of it. 
  • Don't have any pictures to send - just send an email with your full name and the date you completed the run!
  • Once the event is finished, all participants will receive a digital finishers certificate
