CITY OF YONKERS, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND CONSERVATION 

"BEST VIEWS OF YONKERS" VIRTUAL RUN / WALK 

The City of Yonkers is full of beautiful picturesque locations! We are inviting you to participate in this next challenge and pick your favorite "picture perfect" area to run or walk past. Snap a shot (or two!) and send them our way! Share them on your social media with the hastags #YonkersStrong #YonkersBestViews

RUN / WALK DETAILS:

Start Date: Monday, August 3 - 28th 

Registration Fee: No fees! This is about staying active and for community awareness

Distance: 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 mile

Ages: all ages welcome to participate

Important: If you are running or walking outside - social distancing rules are to be in effect at all times
If you are participating outside, please don’t forget to take a picture of the sites around you 
HOW DOES THIS VIRTUAL RUN / WALK WORK:

Sign up today via RunSignUp and choose the distance of your choice (5K or 1 mile)
All participants can decide where they want to walk or run

Send us your proof of participation: 
Send us a picture of yourself and a screenshot of your tracking device with your final results

Where do we send the proof of participation?                                                                                                                                    Please send your full name, distance, and pictures to: jennifer.villa@yonkersny.gov . 
Don't have any pictures to send - just send an email with your full name and the distance you completed
Once the event is finished, all participants will receive a digital finishers certificate
