Lavender Towse Distance Festival Virtual 5K

Hi all! Please join us in celebrating Lavender Towse’s memory by helping us raise money for the Trevor Project, a non profit focused on providing resources for queer folks in crisis. Thus far, we have raised $10,000 for the Trevor Project and hope to raise $5,000 for 2024. Join us in a virtual 5K to celebrate Lavender's love for running and to help provide resources for LGBTQ+ folks in crisis. Run, jog, or walk this event!  

Please note: This event can be completed anywhere and anytime during the month August! All participants will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 Fleet Feet or Marathon Sports gift card! 2 winners will be drawn and contacted after 9/1/24. Separate donations to the offical GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/bf514834 ) will earn an additional raffle entry. 

Lavender Towse was a dedicated Cross-Country and Track athlete throughout their brief life. They were a fierce competitor who embraced both the physical and mental rigors of competition and training. They were a joy on and off the track to so many. While we mourn their passing, we welcome you to donate to and participate in the Lavender Towse Distance Classic to celebrate the joy they got from running and to raise funds for the Trevor Project, a nationally recognized organization doing the important work of preventing suicide amongst young LGBTQ+ people.
