VIRTUAL TRIATHLON FAQS

 

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL EVENT?

A virtual event is an event you can complete anytime/anywhere! There isn't a set time or place since virtual events are meant for you to complete at your convenience and at your own pace.

You may post your results from Sunday July 11, 2021 to Sunday August 1, 2021 11:59 PM EST 

WHEN IS THE VIRTUAL TRIATHLON OR BIKE/RUN?

You may complete the virtual event at any time between Sunday July 11, 2021 to Sunday August 1, 2021.

IS THERE A SPECIFIC APP WE NEED TO USE TO TRACK OUR TIME? 

You may track your run with any app, watch, or fitness device that you would like.

CAN I COMPLETE MY VIRTUAL EVENT WITHOUT MY BIB? 

The bib is not required to be worn during the event.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MEDAL AND FINISHER ITEMS?

We will begin mailing your finisher items 6 weeks post-event to the address you provided during registration.

WILL YOU SHIP THE MEDAL AND FINISHER ITEMS INTERNATIONALLY?

We highly encourage you to use a U.S. address during registration for your Finisher Items but we do have International Shipping available. If you choose International Shipping, you will incur a $40 Shipping Fee.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE GIF's ?

The GIFs can be found on Instagram. To access the GIF stickers, tap the add sticker button at the top of Stories as usual. From there, select the new GIF option, and a library of GIFs will appear. Search for "nyctri" and you will see the GIPHYs. Drag the one you want onto your photo or video.  If you'd like to use it on other platforms, you would still need to use Instagram initially but can save the photo to upload to a different platform (Facebook, etc.) instead.

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD MY BIB?

Click here to visit your Profile. From there, you will see "View Digital Bib" on the right panel of your registration for this event. You must be logged into your RSU account to access this. Digital Bibs will be available closer to the event date.

HOW DO I RESEND MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL?

RunSignUp allows you to access your registration through your Profile. From there you can resend your confirmation email if you have misplaced it, or if you have not received it

Note: If you did not receive your confirmation make sure to check your Spam/Clutter folders.

You will always be able to resend the registration confirmation for any registrations associated with your Profile (including any sub-accounts of yours) by following these steps:

  1. Sign In to RunSignUp
  2. Go to your Profile
  3. See your events under Upcoming Events
  4. Click Resend Confirmation next to the registration that you would like to resend the confirmation email.
  5. Check the email listed in your Profile for your registration confirmation

Click Resend Confirmation next to the registration that you would like to resend the registration confirmation.

At that point, the confirmation email will be sent to the email address associated with that registration. If the original confirmation message did not send because you had a typo in an email address, you will need to update this information as explained in How to Correct Typo/Modify Profile.

HOW DO I RESET MY RSU PASSWORD? 

If you ever happen to forget your password, simply open up the “Login” , and click Forgot Password? At this point, you can enter in the email address you use to access your RunSignup account, and click on the button labeled Send Reset Password Link

After clicking the “Reset Password” button, you will receive an email with a unique link allowing you to reset the password for your RunSignUp account.

HOW CAN I UPDATE MY SHIPPING ADDRESS?

Please email us to change your shipping address. 

 

RESULTS FAQS

 
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RESULTS?

Click here to visit your Profile. From there, you will see "Submit Virtual Results" and other options on the right panel of your registration for this event. You must be logged into your RSU account to access this. Miles must be logged within the race time frame. You may track your distance with a number of different phone apps (Strava, Garmin Connect, etc.), your watch, or your favorite fitness device.

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT PROOF OF MY MILES?

Due to the manual nature of submitting your results, we request that you uphold the integrity of our sport and submit only results that are honest and accurate to the best of your ability. You do not have to submit proof when submitting your results but race staff reserves the right to request proof for any result submission.

 

REFERRAL REWARDS FAQS

 
WHAT IS THE REFERRAL PROGRAM?

For every friend (up to 4) who use your referral link to register for the Virtual Experience (either distance), you will receive a refund of $5 credited back to you PLUS the top 5 athletes who refer the most athletes who register will receive a prize. The maximum refund amount is $20 and only applies for referrals from/to the 2021 Virtual Event.

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

The referral has to sign up with your unique referral link. We cannot apply a referral link to any accounts after registration. If you used a deferral code to register, you will not qualify for a refund but you will qualify for the top 5 referrers prize.

HOW DO I FIND MY REFERRAL LINK?

After you register, you will receive your unique referral link in your confirmation email as well as on the confirmation page screen. You may also resend your confirmation email through your Profile. You may also view your Referral Links here.
