Frontrunner Colombo Spring Grind 2025

The Frontrunner Spring Grind 2025 is a self-guided running challenge presented by The Frontrunner Colombo, New Zealand's premier running specialty store. This premier event, which runs from November 1st to November 30th, is designed to test personal endurance and build community among runners.

This year's theme fuses running with coffee, the runner's ultimate fuel. Participants embark on a "Bean Belt" journey, unlocking exclusive location coins—representing major coffee regions like Cuba, Ethiopia, and Brazil—for every 50km they run. The ultimate goal is to collect all eight coins by completing a monumental 400km.

The $90 entry includes an exclusive high-performance Asics t-shirt, a custom medal, location coins, and access to private online communities. A significant component is the charitable aspect, with a $5 donation from every entry going to the Full Bellies charity, supported by title sponsor Asics and a partnership with Rad Coffee Co. A massive nationwide leaderboard tracks progress, leading to custom trophies for top finishers in categories like most distance run and most vertical meters.

The challenge culminates in the legendary "Grind Party" celebration on the first Tuesday of December, featuring a group run, giveaways, and the official prize-giving ceremony. The event encourages runners to push their limits and fosters a passionate running community in New Zealand.
