New River Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K

2026 Entry Fees and Registration Deadlines

• In part, due to Hurricane Helene, we lost access to a large field that allowed on-site parking.  Beginning in 2025, we had limited on-site parking and also utilized off-site parking and a shuttle service.  We've always tried to keep our entry fees as low as possible and have never charged for parking.  However, to maintain a course that runs in the beautiful New River valley, off-site parking and a shuttle service are needed.  Regretfully, we needed to bump our marathon and half-marathon entry fees to help defray the cost of the shuttle service.  The shuttle service is available for runners and spectators, and will run continuously Saturday morning during the races.  The Friday night 5K will not require off-site parking and the shuttle service.

• All registration dates are active until 11:59pm Eastern Time.

• Race day registration WILL be available online IF space allows:
  Friday, May 15 for the 5K
  Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 for the Marathon and Half Marathon
  The New River Marathon and Half Marathon sold-out in 2024 and 2025.

Race Shirts:

• Register by April 14 to be guaranteed your 2026 Race Shirt.

• We do our best to ensure that all registered runners receive a race shirt.

• Extra race shirts are ordered in anticipation of late entries (April 15 and later).

• Because of the uncertainty of correct sizes, runners registering after April 14 cannot be guaranteed a correct shirt size and cannot be guaranteed a shirt.
