This event does not allow pacers, due to the short course and multiple events you will not be lonely out there! Friends are encouraged to register themselves and join the race as a participant. With all four events moving the same direction on the same loop, you will not be alone.
Crew should only assist their runners in the start/finish personal support area.
Dogs are NOT allowed on the course or at any of our event areas, start/finish, aid stations, check-in, etc. We love dogs just like most of you but it is a confusing environment and energy for them, we have seen the best of dogs act abnormally and not everyone is comfortable with dogs.
When a TROT event offers multiple distances, each distance is treated as a completely separate race—even when they happen concurrently, share portions of the course, or use the same timing checkpoints.
Once you start, you are competing only in the distance for which you are registered. If you do not complete that distance, you will be listed as a DNF at the bottom of its results, with your furthest verified timing checkpoint noted when available. You will not be moved into a shorter event, listed as a finisher of that distance, or receive its finisher medal.
For example, a runner registered for the 100K who stops after completing 50K is a 100K DNF—not a 50K finisher.
This policy protects fair competition by ensuring runners know who is entered in their event and prevents shorter-distance standings from changing when someone drops down. It also ensures we have enough finisher medals for participants registered in each distance.
You may officially switch distances through your RunSignup account before the race while transfers remain open and space is available. All changes must be completed before you start; distances cannot be changed retroactively.
When you enter SFA State Park you do not need to stop at the HQ entrance building, proceed directly to the back of the park following guidance by the park staff.
