Description
Join us for the 2026 Race Judicata on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 5:00pm from the University of Akron School of Law. All proceeds benefit the Akron Bar Foundation that provides scholarships and law related grants.
Course: The course is on the University of Akron Campus.
Awards: Top Male and Female Finishers in the following categories: Top Overall and Top Age Groups: 24 and under, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75+, and Tortoise (last to cross)
Law Student Team Competition - Join your class members and compete as a team! Time to race for bragging rights!
Packet pickup will be available at the University of Akron School of Law on race day, April 21, 2026, from noon until race time. The Law School is located at 150 University Ave. Paid parking is available in the University of Akron visitor lots. Please be sure to pay following the directions at the lot and to park so that your license plate is visible to avoid receiving a ticket.
The entire race and walk is on the sidewalks of the University of Akron Campus. Please remain on the sidewalks and follow the directions of our volunteers as you navigate the course. There will be directional arrows and sidewalk markings to assist you as well. There will be one water station located at the approximate halfway point.
Refreshments, courtesy of Roderick, Linton and Belfance and the University of Akron School of Law, will be provided following the race. Please join us at the law school for the awards ceremony immediately following the race.

Turn-by-turn Directions for 2025 Race Judicata:*
1. Start in from of the School of Law
2. Turn left onto Wolf Ledges Parkway
3. Turn left on Carroll Street
4. Turn right and run between the building: Shrank North and South
5. Turn left on East Exchange
6. Turn left on Spicer Street
7. Turn left on Vine Street
8. Turn right on the sidewalk at Union Street intersection
9. Turn left onto the Coleman Commons and run around it
10. Turn left to the Olin round (Just before the JAR) and go around it
11. Turn left onto Carroll Street in from of the JAR
12. Turn left onto Spicer Street
13. Turn left on Buchtel Avenue
14. Turn left across from College Street and run around the Buchtel Statue
15. Turn left on Buchtel Avenue
16. Turn left on Hill Street towards Guzzetta Hall
17. Turn left between the Polymer Science Building and Guzzetta Hall
18. Follow the sidewalk to Sisler-McFarland and Crouse buildings and do a U-turn
19. Continue until the SOL
*Entire course is on the sidewalks. The start and end is at the School of Law, not the JAR, so the mile markings and start and finish points on the map are incorrect but the course is the same.
