Description
Join us to celebrate the life of Akron coaching legend Joseph "Peach" Zampino. An Akron native who spent his entire life in the Akron area, Peach influenced many young people during the course of his teaching and coaching career. He coached football at North High School for 17 years; girls distance track at Hoban for over 21 years; boys and girls cross country for five years. We honor Peach by running at Goodyear Metropark, the place where he coached so many athletes. The Peach Memorial 3K race will follow the season-opening high school XC race on the same course.
