Description
To run the race of life, we train to grow stronger each day. To strengthen and grow in faith, we participate in ministry and life together. The 2021 Epiphany Lutheran Forward in Faith 5K gives us a chance to flex our physical muscles as we support our youth to provide opportunities for them to strengthen and grow their faith. The Forward in Faith 5K will benefit the 2022 Youth Gathering Fund this year. Due to the importance of safety and health, the FIF 5K will be a virtual event. We hope this gives the opportunity for you to get out to move and enjoy God's creation by picking a day full of sunshine and your favorite trail to enjoy to get out and move!
Packet Pickup
We will have a packet pick up on Sunday, June 6th from 12 - 1:00 PM at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pickerington (268 Hill Road North; Pickerington, OH 43147). If these times do not work, please contact us through the contact form on this page and we'll make arrangements with you.
Virtual Race Period
Your 5K run/walk can be completed anytime starting June 5th through June 12th. Instructions will be provided on how to complete your virtual run and how to submit your results for those who would like. Thank you for your support of the Youth Ministries at Epiphany Lutheran!
Virtual Event
- Register for the event. If you have already done so, thank you
- From June 5 to June 12, run or walk your 5k distance anywhere you want and at any time you want.
- Enter your times and we'll post them to the results. (see instructions below)
Manual Method
- Run/walk your 5k (3.1 mile) distance anywhere and anytime from June 5 to June 12
- Record your run/walk time on a piece of paper
- Come back to this race page
- Make sure you are logged into runsignup.com
- Locate the "Results" tab at the top of the menu
- Click "Submit Virtual Results" button
- Locate your participant information. Once found, click the "submit virtual results" button.
Automatic Method
- Download the RaceJoy App
- Locate the Forward in Faith 5k in the App
- Use the Race Anywhere course when you run/walk your 5k
- At the end of your 5k, submit your times through the app (additional instructions will be sent to you about using RaceJoy)
Upload Your Race Day Photos!
We want to make this virtual experience fun for all. Post your "race day" photos when you submit your times and allow everyone to share in your experience. More information will be forthcoming on where and how to post them.
T-Shirts
Shirts sizes will be available in the following;
- Youth Small to Large
- Adult Small to 3XL
- ***There will also be an option to select "no shirt." Selecting this option will save us a few dollars that will be put back into the events proceeds.
The t-shirt guarantee date is Friday, May 21st.
