Join us on Thanksgiving morning for the 16th Annual Athens Turkey Trot!
Turkey-calling runners and walkers of all abilities! Come join other members of the Athens community for the annual pre-food coma tradition! Enjoy a flat, out-and-back course on the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway along the scenic tree-lined Hocking River. This year’s race will feature official chip timing and the option to purchase a commemorative t-shirt as part of your race registration.

Race start time: 8 a.m.
Location: West State Street Park shelter house, Athens, Ohio
Prizes: Pumpkin pies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each gender category as well as the top three finishers in the ages 12 and under category.
Parking: Parking will be in the main parking lots for the West State Ball Fields. With the exception of those that have a handicap tag or need other special parking, no vehicles will be allowed to enter the circle at the end of West State Street. You may also park at Ohio Means Jobs on Union Street and walk the bike path the short distance to the start at the ball fields.
This year’s race is being organized by the Athens Athletics Club (AAC), a 501(c)3 Athens-based nonprofit organization that supports the development of Athens Bulldogs cross country and track & field athletes. AAC is an affiliate member of the Road Runners Club of America. All funds collected from the Athens Turkey Trot goes to the AAC and will be utilized to support the Athens Bulldog XC and Track teams.
