Whether you're competing for points or just enjoying the winter woods, the MVOC Cold-O with Chili is a must-do seasonal tradition.
Let the hunt begin!
The MVOC's Cold-O Orienteering Event is in the Score-O format with teams and/or individuals finding all 20 controls throughout the park within a 2-hour time limit. Before starting, participants will be given a small bag to collect individual tiles with various numbers from each of the 20 controls on the course. Once all 20 tiles (1 from each control) have been collected, participants will use their finger punch to stop their electronically captured time and will then be given an unsolved Sudoku puzzle to solve. The individual or team will use the 20 tiles collected during the search to correctly solve the puzzle. Once the puzzle is completed, the secondary stop time will be recorded for the total time.
Following the race, the Beavercreek Air Force Junior ROTC will be providing lunch free of charge! Chili, soup, sandwiches, sweets, etc. and as the name implies, it might be cold so hot chocolate will be included as well! Come on out for a great time!
