The Cincinnati Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is pleased to announce our inaugural Jack and Jill Up the Hill 5K fundraiser! Our family focused run/walk will take place Saturday, April 15, 2023, 9:00am at Sawyer Point and Yeatman's Cove/Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park. In collaboration with Black Girls Run! Cincinnati, we will bring the community together to raise funds for Jack and Jill of America Foundation, our American Red Cross “JJ Swims” swimming education program, Queen City Foundation, our premier local non-profit and other worthy local organizations. Your participation in our fundraising event will directly support the work we do in Cincinnati and across the nation, by providing opportunities to equip and empower those we aim to serve.
Since our inception in 1953, the Cincinnati Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has supported the underserved in the tri-state area by working to meet their greatest needs. From our annual winter clothing drive to our efforts to ensure that students succeed in school, we are committed to positively shaping futures. Partnering with Queen City Foundation in support of their ACT/SAT preparation course has been paramount in ensuring that our target population is on a path to experience academic and career success. National statistics demonstrate that falling test scores of black and brown students is becoming the norm. To date, the ACT test scores of these students average 16.9 compared to 21.3 for white students. There is work to be done, and Jack and Jill remains well-positioned to offer assistance. The Mother Members of Jack and Jill know we have the power to make a difference. And with your support, we can extend our service reach and strategically build a stronger community for the future.
We look forward to running/walking with you on Saturday, April 15, 2023!
