Stone Steps 50k and 27K is held in Mt. Airy Forest, a gem of a park just a couple miles from beautiful downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Mt. Airy Forest is near I-75 and I-74 off of Colerain Avenue.

Race Day Headquarters:

Start/finish at The Oval (area 13). Look for signs on race day.

Loop course on single track technical trails. Hilly course with roots and rocks and occasional tree blow downs. Mud possible but relatively dry course. Aid station every 3-5 miles.

50K Race:

The 50k trail race is a loop course on single track trails. One 5+ mile loop is run four times, alternating with a 3+ mile loop run three times. An aid station is located at the end of each loop. Already a well-marked course, it will be marked even better this year.

27K Course:

The 27k trail race is a loop course on single track trails. One 5+ mile loop is run two times, alternating with a 3+ mile loop run two times.

About Mt. Airy Forest, Cincinnati:

Mt. Airy Forest is, in fact, one of the larger parks located within a city's limits in the country. Even Central Park can only boast 843 acres, while Mt. Airy holds a massive 1,469.9 acres. Runners will get a wilderness experience that mirrors the Sierras at times. The course winds through all of the features Mt. Airy has to offer, such as its lush evergreens, dense harwoods, open meadows, flowing rivers, and of course, hill climbs and ridge traverses.

This year's race will be chip timed on your bib. All Times will be read electronically. No bib, no time!
