Sunset Sprint 5K/10K

 Race the sunset, live or virtually, along Cleveland’s scenic shore of Lake Erie during Sunset Sprint 5K/10K presented by The Illuminating Company at Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Park. 

Based on COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, “choose your own sunset” as this race offers both a live and virtual 5K or 10K option. Multiple route suggestions are available for virtual participants.

Registration for the first 300 participants (live or virtual) will include:

• Race t-shirt 
• Race event pint glass
• Official Sunset Sprint Race Bib 
• Reusable event bag courtesy of The Shamrock Companies
• Reusable water bottle courtesy of Cleveland Water 
• Honey Hut ice cream voucher 
• Beverage voucher redeemable at Merwin’s Wharf by 12/1/202 (live participants only)
• Achievement Award presented by Raising Cane’s (for all participants 14 years or under)
• Chip-timing (live participants only)
• Gear Check presented by The Shamrock Companies (live participants only)

Awards for top three (3) finishers in each age group: 14& under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+ (live participants only)

*Virtual participants may submit their times to pyackmack@hermescleveland.com in order to be placed on the results page of the website. 

Virtual participants are encouraged to “choose your own sunset” with these suggested race routes that feature iconic Cleveland landmarks and script signs. Share your sunset with a run selfie on your social media with your Sunset Sprint gear in front of a Cleveland script sign using hashtags #racethesunset and #sunsetsprint in your post.

Live participant packet pick-up will be at the following locations: 

·         Wednesday, SEPT. 30, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Fleet Feet in Pepper Pike 

·         Thursday, OCT. 1, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Fleet Feet in Westlake 

Virtual participants will receive their race items via mail by OCT. 1, 2020 if registered before SEPT. 23, 2020.

All proceeds benefit local nonprofit, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
