This is a one-day clinic to educate female runners, parents, and coaches to positively impact and promote healthy lifelong success in running and life.
Topics include nutrition, goals, mindset, confidence, perseverance, and more.

2024 Speakers
Cindy Anzalone-Fox - Rhodes High School (Title IX). Mrs. Anzalone-Fox was the first female in the history of Cleveland Public School District to qualify for the OHSAA State Cross Country Championship meet (1980). While in high school (10th, 11th & 12th grade), Cindy qualified for the OHSAA State meet seven times in three events, the 800m, 1600m, and cross country. She was also OHSAA District and Regional Champion four times. Currently, Cindy is coaching girls’ track and cross country at her Alma Mater, Rhodes High school. She has been named Senate Coach of the Year six times for cross country, indoor, and outdoor track. She has been an educator in the Cleveland Schools for 36 years.
Andie McGregor - Cleveland Guardians Mental Performance Coach. She earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Georgia College & State University and a M.S. in Sport Psychology from Florida State University. Andie grew up playing softball and lacrosse, and has always had a passion for running!
Sara Mason Vergote - The Ohio State University Head Cross Country/Assistant Track Coach (Distance/Mid-Distance). The 2022 squad earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, where it finished a program-best 15th. Mason Vergote has been part of nine track and field Big Ten championship teams since joining the staff, including outdoor titles for both the men and women in 2022. The women’s squad also won the 2019 and ’21 outdoor crowns and the 2015, ’19 and ’20 indoor trophies, while the men were the 2018 indoor and outdoor champs. As the associate head coach, Mason Vergote helped lead the women’s cross country program to NCAA team appearances in 2014 and 2019. In her first year as the head cross country coach the Buckeyes placed second at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional to clinch the automatic berth to the NCAA Championships, where they placed a program-best 15th. With Mason Vergote on staff Ohio State has six Top 5 team finishes at the Big Ten meet.
Kylene Bogden - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, FWD Fuel. Kylene currently works in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers. She was previously a dietitian at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine. After growing up on processed foods and often feeling drastically different depending on what she ate before practicing as a sprinter, she realized that the better she ate, the better she felt. Seeing the power of food led to a desire to become a licensed registered sports dietitian.
Dr. Laura Goldberg - Pediatric Sports Medicine, University Hospitals. Laura D. Goldberg, MD, FAAP, is a Pediatric Sports Medicine specialist in the Division of Sports Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Goldberg has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Certificate in Community Health from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her medical degree at The University of Vermont in Burlington. In 2005, she completed a residency in Pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Dr. Goldberg completed her primary care sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where she practiced adult and pediatric sports medicine until she joined UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in 2018. Dr. Goldberg is board-certified in Pediatrics and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine. She maintains her credentialing through the American Board of Pediatrics and participates in the maintenance of certification programs in both fields. Dr. Goldberg is a team physician for Oberlin College, Lake Ridge Academy, where she provides event coverage for soccer tournaments, bike races, triathlons, wrestling tournaments, sailing regattas and other sporting events. She is the lead physician of the University Hospitals Running Program, which helps athletes identify, treat and prevent running injuries, as well as enhance performance. She served as Medical Director for the Rite-Aid Cleveland Marathon for nearly a decade and continues to provide physician coverage for the marathon and other road races. During her training, Dr. Goldberg assisted with care for a number of professional sports teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Barons (now Monsters). Dr. Goldberg has participated in many sports, including over 20 marathons, road and mountain biking, alpine ski racing, tennis, soccer, ultimate frisbee and sailing. She participated in the 1996 Olympic trials for Women’s Single-Handed Sailing, which taught her dedication, focus and perseverance. Dr. Goldberg continues to be an avid athlete while bringing her passion for helping other athletes stay healthy and active to her practice.
Rosalie Franek - Licensed Massage Therapist, Right Path Massage & Fitness. Rosalie has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 16 years and a clinical Exercise Physiologist and Health Coach for 39 years. She was co-owner of Advanced Rehabilitation and Health Specialists in Mantua for 12 years, during which time she designed and implemented OHSAA approved coaches training classes, with an emphasis on injury prevention through the use of dynamic warm-ups, functional strength and recovery. She coached track and cross country at Crestwood for 10 years, during which time her daughter, Bridget, helped her team win a state championship in 2006. She has been the owner of Right Path Massage & Fitness, LLC since 2011. She has worked with many elite athletes from the University of Akron, including several Olympians and NCAA Champions, and even a member of the recent NBA draft! As an athlete, she has been a runner since the early days of Title IX, running high school track and cross country for Midpark High School and Bowling Green State University, graduating in 1985. She continues to compete in Master's events and road races including the Pan-American Masters Games in Cleveland in July 2024.
