1 Mile Family Walk (Untimed) - IN-PERSON
Race Description
Sign up to participate in the 10th Annual 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk for Brain Injury Awareness presented by Ohio State's Chronic Brain Injury Program.
This event is hosted by the undergraduate student organization Buckeyes Raising Awareness in Neuroscience (BRAIN). This event takes place at the RPAC North Plaza, near The Buckeye Bike Hub (337 Annie and John Glenn Ave). All proceeds directly benefit brain injury survivors, including through ourĀ NeuroNights program, a joint initiative between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University Chronic Brain Injury program, and BRAIN to provide comprehensive communal and wellness support for brain injury survivors. Please contact us at brain.osu@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns!
Last year's race proceeds benefitted the following:
- We awarded a $500 scholarship to Jackie Palmer, recipient of the Mark Minister Award and donated $500 on her behalf to the Healthy Minds program at the Brain Injury Association of Ohio
- We contributed $4,500 to fund our second annual Brain Injury Community Day
- We are planning a Brain Injury Awareness Gala for the winter and a Brain Injury Awareness Retreat!
