Winter officially starts on December 21st and we are celebrating the day in true Brokeman's fashion. With a run and a beer. And good cheer! ;)
Because of glorious COVID-19, this run is going to look a little different, but we couldn't end the year without the ability to run our pants off!
So what's different this year?
The main change that's needed is the requirement to socially distance ourselves this year and limit our gathering size, so we will be spreading this run out over 3 weeks. You will still meet at the bar, come alone or come as a small group, and run the suggested route around the city all lit up in Christmas lights! But we will not be organizing as a large group in one event. (NEXT YEAR!)
Another big change is that we will not be running our pants OFF. We encourage you to wash and bag up your donations prior to the event, donate them into the boxes we will provide for you at the tap room, THEN take your pants off and run around the city with you or your small crew! Yes... there will be prizes for the best (and least) dressed!
After your run you will grab your shirt and woodal coaster from the bar, along with your FREE six pack (to-go) from Land Grant, and the rest of the night is yours!
While we know this isn't the desired event we all have come to know and love, we think this is going to be a whole lot of fun, PLUS we are supporting lots of local business and charities along the way!
New this year - instead of seeking out donations to raffle off, we are going to be taking $5 from every registration and PURCHASING gifts from local Columbus, Ohio businesses to give away in our best dressed contest. We want to do everything we can do support small businesses this year, so we're spending our dollars local!
Our charity - We've reached out to Victory Ministries Center of Hope on East Main Street in Whitehall, Ohio and they are in serious NEED of clothing and shoes! They have some requests so in your race email I'll be writing up what they are looking for specifically.
