Boo! Get ready for spooky season by signing up for The Running Outreach Initiative's inaugural Boo Bash Dash 5K! The Running Outreach Initiative is a non-profit organization led by OSU students that founded with the mission of giving back to our community and enriching the lives of local youth. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the schools where members of TROI coach students in the sport of running, sharing its mental and physical benefits. The Boo Bash Dash 5K starts at OSU's beautiful Recreational and Physical Activity Center (right near the Bike Hub which faces the athletic fields) and heads into central campus, circling around the historic Oval and finishing right back at the RPAC. Bring your costumes! Those who race in their Halloween attire have the option to be entered into a costume contest with the chance of winning a $25 Running Warehouse gift card if they win! Divisions for the costume contest include one men's and one women's division. Each participant will receive one raffle ticket upon signing up, with extra tickets available for $2 each. Raffle prizes include a $50 Pitaya gift card, a $25 Target gift card, a $10 Starbucks gift card, and Saucony running socks. Top finishers in each gender and age division (14 and under, 15-22, 23 and up) will receive a gift card to the Columbus Running Company! Pre- and post-race food and drinks will be provided.
Sign-in will open at 9:15, our youth athletes will warm up around 9:45, and pre-start instructions will be given at 9:55 before the race is begun at 10:00am. After the race, medals will be given out and age group winners, overall race winners, costume contest winners, and raffle winners will be announced, so be sure to stick around!

Parking and Road Closures
Due to the Columbus Marathon taking place the same morning as our race, we would like to inform you of the road closures happening around the area. A link to them can be found here. We apologize for the inconvenience. As for parking, there are good options around campus. The Neil Avenue, 12th Avenue, and Tuttle Park garages are all a short distance from the start of the race, with rates around $2.50/hr. Parking at the Ohio Stadium should also be available, unless marathon guidelines advise otherwise. For a more in-depth look at the availble parking around campus, take a look at the map here.
