It's time to haunt or be haunted this October with Columbus Running Company's Fab-BOO-lous 5K, 10K & Half Marathon, a virtual race spook-tacular unlike any other! Choose an option from the virtual 5K (3.1 miles), virtual 10K (6.2 miles) or dauntingly-scary virtual half marathon (13.1 miles) and carve your own long-distance route wherever you are! Use your witchcraft to fend off the ghosts, ghouls and goblins, or JOIN THEM when you don one of our costume-themed neck gaiters out on the streets or trails! All registrants will receive one of three randomly selected costume-themed neck gaiters, a custom race t-shirt and an utterly Fab-BOO-lous race medal (both with glow-in-the-dark elements), and more! Sign up today before the clock strikes midnight!
Carve Your Own Route
You know that genius creativity you use to carve the most unique jack-o-lantern in the neighborhood every year? You know...mostly to one-up your next-door neighbor Ron? Sorry not sorry, Ron. Well, now you can use it to carve your own unique running route around your city, town, or neighborhood! Submitting your results is also easier than stealing candy from your own kid's trick-or-treating haul. Oh, you guys don't do that? Just us? Yikes...
Anyway, all you need to do is run your chosen distance (easy, right?) on the spookiest route you can find, then simply come back to our page anytime between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31 and submit your time via our results tab (top corner of this page). So simple, it's scary (well, all of the stuff that isn't running, that is).

Costume Contest
Follow us on our Columbus Running Company Event Management Facebook page and use the hashtag #crcfabhalf to upload race photos, costume photos, and show us how you fended off (or joined) the ghosts, ghouls, and goblins out on your journey! We'll randomly choose two winners during race month to receive a CRC gift card that we will mail directly.
Race Kit Details
Those registering prior to September 20 will have their materials mailed to them by October 1. Those registering on September 20 or later will have their materials mailed out on October 15th to arrive prior to the end of the virtual race period.

How Does A Virtual Race Work?
Although we at the Columbus Running Company are race directors and love operating actual in-person races we recognize this is not an option at the moment with the necessary safety measures in place. The purpose of this event is to give runners something to look forward to (while getting some awesome swag in the process).
Steps To Complete A Virtual 5K
Step 1: Sign up
Sign up for the Fab-BOO-lous race of your choice (or more than one race if you dare!) by clicking the "Sign Up" button on this page.
Step 2: Train
Train to get in shape for your race (or races). Listen to your body and be smart. Looking for a group to connect with to keep you motivated throughout your training cycle? Check out the Rally Columbus group on Facebook, it's full of cheer and motivation to keep you rolling through race day.
Step 3: Participate
Get out during the event time frame (anytime between October 1 and October 31) and participate in your race. Choose a safe course, socially distance properly as the current regulations dictate, and have some fun! Share your race photos on social media with the hashtag #crcfabhalf
Step 4: Report
After you've completed your race, you can report your results right from the website's results page. See our How To Submit Your Virtual Results page on the site for details.

A performance wicking shirt: we use trusted local vendors to help us create a piece that will look awesome and make you feel great on the run!
Medals are always a fantastic reward for a job well done, and this race has you covered!
