Race for Global Water 5K Run/Walk

The Ohio Section of the American Water Works Association and the Hamilton to New Baltimore Groundwater Consortium are proud to partner with Water For People to host the 15th Annual Race for Global Water 5K in Fairfield, OH. Water for People exists to promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments.  In a world where many people, mostly children, die every year because they don't have access to clean water and sanitation, you can help make a difference. Run or walk to support Water For People!

Registration includes Chip Timing, refreshments and a chance for awards.

Entries for our amazing raffle prizes are now available! Raffle entries are accessible to anyone through our RallyUp site, whether they are able to attend the race or not.

Raffle tickets can be purchased up until 10am on August 2, 2025 (Race Day). Winners will be drawn afterwards around 10:30am. Prizes will be handed out at the race if the winner is present. Otherwise, they will be available for pick up at the Groundwater Consortium office which is located at the Fairfield South Water Plant: 5140 River Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014. Shipping may be arranged depending on the size of the raffle prize. 

Accurate 5K (3.1 miles) course beginning and ending at Water Works Park.

Race-day Check-in and Number Pickup: 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM at Water Works Park.

Have the largest number of people from your company or utility to win the prestigious corporate or utility challenge Challenge award!

You may start or join a team when you register online.

Designate a Company Captain to organize and motivate your group to win.

Top male and female runners and walkers will receive awards. Awards will be presented immediately following the race/walk. 

Please consider supporting Water for People further by participating in the event raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold online through the end of the event. More information, including available prizes, will be shared shortly.

This year's race will be accurately professionally and accurately "chip-timed" by Running Time Race Timing using MyLaps disposable Bib Tag technology.The chip will be on the bib number. No need to turn in pull tags or return the timing chip.
