Farmers on the Run

We are proud to announce the inaugural  Farmers on the Run 5k event hosted by the Sandusky County Farm Bureau, taking place December 2, 2023 at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds. The premise of our race is to raise awareness for Donate life and Farm Bureau! This event holds a special place in our Board President’s heart. Take a read below! 

In our household, there are 2 organizations/communities we owe a lot to: Agriculture and Donate Life. Growing up on a farm, Agriculture runs deep in my roots, but it was not until my sister was diagnosed with an Kidney Disorder that our family realized just how amazing this agricultural community is. Fast forward 16 years from her initial diagnosis, 2 kidney transplants later, and we are more grateful than ever for the work donate life does to give folks their life back. People came together to help us continue to raise livestock, stay involved and keep her healthy. In my opinion, everyone needs to be involved in these communities! What a better way to-do that, than to host a Harvest Hustle 5k event where community members will learn about the work that Farm Bureau and Donate Life does for our community!
