Kick off the 2023 XC season in style with Columbus Running Company! Grab your friends and teammates and join us for the Arch City XC Festival on Saturday, July 29, 2023! This year's event will again take place on the grounds of Hilliard Darby High School. The day will start with an adult open race, open to all ages, at 8:00 am. This will be followed by a high school 5k (boys and girls combined), a middle school 2-mile races (boys and girls combined), and two elementary school 2-mile races (boys and girls run separately).
All registration proceeds from this race will be used to help the Hilliard Darby cross country and track programs!
Please note: if you are signing up for one of the elementary/middle/high school races, you should sign up to compete with the grade level you are going into this fall!
Additional Race Information
High School and Middle School Athletes: One random team of 3 will be selected to win a custom-branded ON kit (running Tank-T, running shorts, and socks) for FREE! Please select your kit size (answer the question within the registration process) in case you and your team are selected to win (kit sizes are women's small, women's medium, men's small and men's medium). If you and your team are selected as winners, you will be notified via email prior to race day and your kits will be available for pickup at the registration table on race morning. In order to be eligible to win, you must create a team of 3 (all-male or all-female teams only) or join a team of 3 within the registration process.
Race Swag
Participants in all races can choose to add a race t-shirt through the online pre-registration process. T-shirts are available to order through July 16. No shirts can be ordered after July 16.
Parking
We're running on the Hilliard Darby High School cross country course. The start/finish is located in the back fields (north fields) behind the tennis courts and high school. There is ample parking available in the football stadium lot at Hilliard Darby High School. Please DO NOT park in the parking lot near the finish line or the neighborhood by the north fields. Neighborhood parking and the small parking lot near the north fields will be closed off to spectators and violators will be towed. Please see below for a map of available parking and where everything is in relation to the check-in area (marked with the yellow star on the map below).
Race Day Timeline
7:00 am - Race Day Check-In and Bib Pickup Begins - ALL packet pickup will take place on race day (no early packet pickup option), and there is NO race day registration
8:00 am - Start of Adult Open 5K
8:45 am - Start of High School Boys and Girls 5K (Please note that this is a combined race with boys and girls)
9:30 am - Start of Middle School Boys and Girls 2-Mile (Please note that this is a combined race with boys and girls)
10:00 am - Start of Elementary Girls 2-Mile
10:30 am - Start of Elementary Boys 2-Mile
Awards
Awards for the adult, high school, and middle school races will be presented to the top five overall individual finishers in each event.
Awards for the elementary (K-6) race will be presented to the top 3 in each of our age groups. All awards will be presented near the finish line. The awards timeline is listed below:
8:50 am - Adult Open Awards
9:35 am - High School Boys and Girls Awards
10:05 am - Middle School Boys and Girls Awards
11:00 am - Elementary Girls and Boys Awards
