The 3rd Annual Go With Your Gut 5K will be held Saturday October 8th, 2016 at Homestead Park in Hilliard Ohio. Both the 5K and 1 mile walk will take you through the trails of Homestead Park. The Kid's Dash and Kid's Timed 1 Mile will be back again this year for the youngsters. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funding for gastroparesis research.
Gastroparesis occurs when the stomach empties too slowly. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, inability to finish a meal, as well as pain, bloating and heartburn. For most people, the cause of gastroparesis is unknown (idiopathic). Gastroparesis may also be caused by a viral infection, diabetes, surgery and some medications. At this time, treatment for gastroparesis is aimed at symptom management through diet, medication and sometimes supplemental nutrition or surgical procedures. There is no cure for gastroparesis.
Your participation in this event will support Digestive Health Alliance (DHA). The DHA is part of the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD), “a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by chronic digestive conditions.” The DHA “works to inspire change through coordinated fundraising, advocacy and awareness efforts.” 100% of the race proceeds will go to DHA.

Race T-shirt Update (Oct 7)
We know you all run for the t-shirts, they're great mementos of a fun event.
We were floored when informed moments ago by our t-shirt printer that there has been an issue with the delivery of the t-shirts to their production facility and our great race shirts for Go With Your Gut will not be available for the race tomorrow.
We are committed to providing you with the high-quality shirt you've come to expect at Go With Your Gut, and will work with the printer to get them completed as soon as possible.
While there will be no shirts available at the race tomorrow, once they are completed and in we will be in touch with information on how to get them. We appreciate everyone's understanding through this difficult situation.

The 5K and Kid's 1 Mile will both be chip timed this year. See how you stack up against the competition!
Early Packet Pickup
There will be no early packet pickup. All pickup of race number and t-shirt will be at the race at Homestead Park beginning at 7am.
Event T-Shirts
One event shirt is included with your registration fee. If you're not participating in the run/walk, or are participating but would like more shirts you may place additional shirts orders through the Race Store tab.
After September 23, race shirts will be available while supplies last. Race shirts are available for Kid's Dash participants at an additional fee.
