Description
On August 11th, 4 year old Myles will be undergoing his 4th open heart surgery. In his honor, his parents are requesting a 5k run with proceeds to benefit the Saving tiny Hearts Society.
In addition to raising money for CHD research, his parents are hopeful that seeing pictures posted throughout the day on the Miles for Myles Superhero 5k Virtual Run Facebook page, they will gain much needed strength and support during the hours while their son is in surgery.
Myles was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Double Inlet Left Ventricle (DILV). He is a spunky 4 year old who loves superheroes. Mommy and Daddy have prepped him for surgery by telling him that he is going to get his heart worked on like Iron Man, so that he can run faster and longer.

How it Works
- 1. Register for the event
- 2. Any time on 8/11/2015, the day of Myles' 4th open heart surgery, run a 5k (in your best Superhero attire if you wish)
- 3. Post pictures to the Miles 4 Myles Facebook page along with some encouraging words (Myles' Mom and Dad will be checking it throughout the day and sharing with him after recovery)
- 4. Following the event, your Miles 4 Myles Superhero Virtual Run 2015 shirt will be sent to you
- 5. Pat yourself on the back; all proceeds, less the cost of the t-shirt, postage to send the shirt, and the registration fee will go to the Saving tiny Hearts Society to fund research for congenital heart defects
