The Powder Keg is a perennial favorite. Explore the many trails of Carter Park which is behind the Historic Kings Mansion. The course will be fun and challenging. You will do a loop that will take you to down near the Little Miami River. Follow along the river on the old abandoned King Road. Explore an old dam. Climb the "Stairway to Heaven". Race distance is listed as 3.5 miles. However, your mileage may vary. This is the sixth event of the 2022 Dirt Days Trail Series.
The Powder Keg 5K Trail Race is presented by Deerfield Township and The Arts Alliance.

Scenic course explores the trails of the Historic Kings Mansion. Course will be fun and challenging. You will do a loop that will take you to down near the Little Miami River. Follow along the river on the old abandoned King Road. Explore an old dam. Make your ascent to the top via a series of steps. Then, you will explore the north side of the park trails. Follow around some ball fields and then the final push to the finish. Race distance is listed as 3.5 miles. However,,your mileage may vary.
Run - Men & Women: 14/under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70/over.
Walk - Men & Women 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60/over
Individual Event Awards:
Awards to overall male and female runner and walker. There are age group awards for this event.
Age Group awards will be presented immediately after the race based on the above divisions.

There is no early packet pick up for this event. Check in on day of race is from 7:30 am through 8:45 am.
There is no paper registration. Sign up online prior to coming or you can sign up with your mobile phone.

About the Dirt Days Trail Series
This is a unique series of trail events in the Greater Cincinnati area. This Series consists of eight dates and ten events. Events will include trail runs of varying distances from about 3 to 11 miles, including a night trail run.. It includes combining your performances in various events to see who are the Dirtiest Dozen men and women. We are excited to be able to put on these slightly different events for the local running community. Run one race or sign up for the series and run them all!
