We are thrilled to offer this exciting new race to the local Northeast Ohio running community!

The Inaugural Hermes Half a Half Marathon, is set for Saturday, March 26th at the scenic Emerald Necklace Marina.

The 6.55 mile course on Rocky River Reservation is a speedy out and back route on pavement and is considered a fantastic "training race" or buildup to any upcoming endurance event - like the Hermes Cleveland 10-Miler in April.

There will even be an incentive to "pick up the pace" the second half of the race. 

This event is capped at 500 participants

The Extras

Special Awards will be given to the following categories

Fastest overall male/female to split point mark - 3.27 miles
Fastest overall male/female finisher
Largest overall "negative split" for male and female

Not in contention for speedy award, but looking for extra motivation to "pick up the pace"?

Any participant who runs a negative split will be entered into win special prizes after the race - more TBA!

A negative split happens when a participant runs a faster 2nd half (3.27 miles) of the race than the first.

*Runners will be tracked with a split point timing mat on the course for accurate splits and results.

Start / Heat Information

Runners will be assigned a start time based on pace selected at registration. 

Each heat will start in short waves with

Heat 1 taking off at 8:00AM

All heats must be at the starting line by 8:00AM 

Average pace: 

8:00AM - 5:00 - 7:00 min/mile

8:01AM -7:00 - 8:00 min/mile

8:02AM - 8:00 - 9:30 min/mile

8:03AM - 9:30 - 11:00 min/mile

8:04AM - 11:00 -13:00+min/mile
