The founder of social distancing is back at it again this year. Lurking deep in the woods he waits. Will you brave the elements to track down the Autumn Squatch?!

Each year just as the season turns, hundreds of Squatch enthusiasts descend upon the woods of Alum Creek in search of the elusive Autumn Squatch. The first recorded sighting was in the fall of 2012, with multiple sightings over the years.

The Autumn Squatch is most commonly seen poking around the Rocks and Roots trail on late autumn nights as he passes through on his way south for the winter. To celebrate the coming of the Squatch we invite you to join us in hopes of catching a glimpse.

In accordance with the chaos of COVID-19 this year’s Autumn Squatch event will be held a bit differently this year. Below is how the 2020 event is being held:

We are holding the Autumn Squatch 10K Trail Race.
But, we are not hosting an in-person event.
Instead, we encourage you to grab a friend or small group of socially distanced friends and go Squatch hunting on the Rocks and Roots South Loop anytime between November 1^st and November November 31^st.
Register by October 15^th to receive a participant shirt, bib and event medal.
Record your effort with any GPS tracking device.
Submit your results with the GPS tracking link by December 1^st.
If you are unable to run on the Rocks and Roots Trail we will allow submission of runs on other 10K trail routes.
We have extra special awards this year!
- Hand crafted wood topo maps of the Rocks and Roots Trail for the following:
  - Top male & female finisher
  - Middle of the pack finisher
  - Male & female sweeper
  - Best finish line photo post on Instagram tagging @rocksandrootstrailrunners
