Ohio State School for the Blind 5K & 1 Mile Walk

The inaugural Ohio State School for the Blind 5K & 1 Mile Walk is presented by the Ohio State School for the Blind Parent Teacher and Staff Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to assist students who are blind or visually impaired increase success and independence.

Our Cause

Together we can support the students of the Ohio State School for the Blind by helping to raise funds for programs and activities designed to enhance learning. Join us on November 5, 2023 for our inaugural 5K & 1 Mile Walk benefiting the Ohio State School for the Blind Parent Teacher Staff Foundation.

Options

We offer an in person 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 mile for runners or walkers as well as a virtual option that can be completed anywhere at anytime.

In Person: Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Highbanks Metro Park, 9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035.

Virtual: Complete your run/walk whenever and wherever you want. 

Race Day Schedule

8:00 a.m. Race day registration opens at Highbanks. Shirts will be distributed at the race.

9:00 a.m. OSSB 5K and 1 mile walk begins

10:00 a.m. Celebration 

Shirts

Shirts will be distributed at the race. Be sure to pick yours up during registration or during the celebration after the race.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. The following opportunities are available: 

• Registration Table
• Course Marshals
• Water Station
• Post Race Snacks
• Set-up crew
• Clean-up crew
• Floaters

Race Day Parking

Parking is available in the Big Meadows Picnic Area at Highbanks Metro Park.
