Description
The HERO Club 5K Race/Walk for PPPD Awareness
Saturday, July 13, 2019
Mason, OH
Hi Everyone!
We are excited to announce that our second annual ‘The HERO Club 5K is on July 13th, at 8:00 AM. Let’s do this!
Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for a chronic condition that is suffered by my mother and many more, called Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD). PPPD, also known as 3PD, is a neurological condition that was discovered in 2015 by the Mayo Clinic, MN. It causes it's patients to experience persistent sensations of rocking, dizziness, light-headedness ocular problems, and several other symptoms. There is no known exact cause or cure for this condition. Furthermore, PPPD is widely unknown by many doctors and people alike, and is not even in the ICD codes. We will continue donating all of our funds to the Mayo Clinic so they can continue to further research and hopefully discover a cure for PPPD.
