5K Run/Walk for Life

This event will be hosted at Dana World Headquarters in Maumee.  It is a 5K chip-timed race for the runners, but walkers are welcome to take their time (dogs/strollers welcome).  Awards will be given for 1st place in each age group (male/female).

• 7:00 AM - Silent Auction/50-50 raffle opens
• 8:00 AM - Vendors and Pet Adoption opens
• 8:30 AM - Opening Remarks/Ceremony
• 9:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk
• 9:45 AM - 1-Mile Kids Fun Run
• 10:45 AM - Race Results
• 11:00 AM - Silent Auction/50-50 Raffle Winners Announcement
• 11:30 AM - Event Adjourns

Other fun activities during the event:

• Silent Auction - Please visit our silent auction page - more items added as they are donated!
• Pet Adoptions - Lucas County Pit Crew and DogWorks will be on site with pets for adoption
• H.O.O.V.E.S. - A non-clinical equine therapy program that provides healing for veterans and first-responders will be on site with two of their therapy horses
• 323rd Company - Members of the 323rd Company will be on site with their military vehicles
• Butterfly Release in memory of loved ones - hosted by Sirena LaPoint
• Performance by Carmen Miller
• Performance by Gravity Dance Company
• Revitalize Fitness will host push up, squat, and plank competitions
• Iron Bean Coffee Truck

Christian’s Corner Foundation Run for Life event is created in memory of Spc. Christian Jones, Scouts 3rd BN, 509th Infantry Airborne, to generate awareness regarding veteran and active military mental health issues, and to raise money for suicide prevention and other mental health programs that support those who have served our country.

This event allows us to come together, whether it is in memory of a loved one, or you or someone you care about is experiencing behavioral health issues. We encourage you to join us in support of this important cause, and know we are supporting you.  Special tags will be available to complete to let us know who you are running or walking for.  Let's work together to remember them and move forward in a positive way, helping others to overcome this battle. 

Packet pick-up will be at Dana World Headquarters on Friday, September 15 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and Saturday, September 16, starting at 7:00 AM
