2020 Race to the Heart 5K is postponed
New Date: TBD
We are so thankful for your support. As you are aware in the light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, President Trump has declared a national emergency and Governor DeWine has ordered for public gatherings to be less than 10 people. In addition, a lot of our supporters for the April 18th 5K event would be families of children with heart defects and other health conditions and constitute the immunocompromised patient population. In the best interest of everyone, we have decided to postpone the race to a later date for this year. More details to follow as soon as we have more information.
We are STILL in this together and we are so thankful to have your continued support for children admitted at Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions at info@conqueringwithcanaan.org

Conquering with Canaan is a non-profit organization with a goal of helping families with
children diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Every 15 minutes a child born is being diagnosed with a congenital heart disease, the # 1 birth defect in children. On average, 40,000 children born are diagnosed with CHD. With the size of a walnut, many newborns undergo open-heart surgeries in the first few days of their life. It is a world-changing and heart-wrenching journey the loved ones of the child must face. There is no cure for it, only a temporary fix. This means these children go numerous heart surgeries during their lifetime. Many do not make it beyond their first year. Needless to say, one of the hardest battles the loved ones fight along with their little heart warrior.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit the inpatient families in the Cardiac Unit at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
