Run to Florida for Jill

Jill Klausing – wife, mother of three, celebrity blogger and future old lady actress – was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Jill’s treatment plan is extensive and aggressive and has left her with only enough energy to waller around in bed all day watching 90210 reruns and checking her Facebook profile to make sure she is garnering adequate attention. Although Jill was not quite popular enough to be voted onto the Homecoming Court in high school - though she claims to have been nominated all four years - the outpouring of love and support from her friends and family has been overwhelming and appreciated.

The “Run to Florida for Jill 5k/10k” has been created for Jill’s friends and family who live in Ohio to symbolically run to her aid in Florida. Some friends and family members felt restricted in their abilities to help Jill due to geographic limitations, so this is an opportunity for everyone who wants to “run the extra mile” for Jill. All proceeds from the race will go to the Klausing family during this time of emotional, physical & financial stress.

The events will be held Saturday, June 25th starting at 11:00 am.

The 10K race begins at Leisure Time Winery on M2 and ends at the Welcome to Florida sign.

The 5K begins at Okolona Tavern and end in Florida. 

Both races start simultaneously.

***Racers will be picked up via bus after the race and taken to Okolona or Leisure Time. ***
