How it Works
School-age kids must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. A suggested entry donation is $10.00. You can choose to donate to Healthy New Albany while registering so that we may continue to serve our mission as best as possible during these trying times. Beginning June 1, 2022, and ending July 31, 2022, participants will be expected to complete a full marathon, 25.2 miles with the last mile completed in person on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
-
Participating with parents and siblings is highly recommended as this is an opportunity for family connectedness through physical activity.
-
Each child must be registered individually.
-
To register for the New Albany Kids Marathon, click the Sign Up button above. Participants are expected to track their own mileage (with the help of their families). Download the sample activity log. See below - this log can be printed and filled in to keep track of mileage. Use the stickers provided to show your progress.
-
No more than 3 miles should be logged on any one day regardless of the number of additional miles covered. This is not a competitive event and it is important to continue to promote sustained movement.
-
Participants will be expected to accumulate the number of miles (25.2) to complete a full marathon. The final mile will be completed in person on the NAPLS campus at a date soon after school returns in late August
