Maple Tree Road Race

The inaugural Mapletree Road Race Run/Walk will be held on July 4th, 2017 @ 9:30am with check-in starting at 8:00am. The race is set to start in downtown Norwalk in front of Bluto’s Sports Bar & Grill 33 East Seminary Street, Norwalk, and finish at the Huron County Fairgrounds before the annual Lions Fourth of July Parade. The race will follow the parade route to allow runners to complete the race in front of 1000's of parade spectators lining Benedict & Norwood Avenues.

It will be a four-mile race and billed as “Four miles on the Fourth.”

Proceeds from the race will support the Michael H. Hay Scholarship for Norwalk Catholic School students.

The course will begin on the corner of Seminary Street & Prospect and end at the Huron County Fairgrounds where the Bicentennial Events Committee will be offering a special event to commemorate 200 years for the City of Norwalk. Awards will given to the top Male and Female overall, top 3 Male & Female Walkers, as well as the first Male & Female in the following age groups: 11-13; 14-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 & older. 

*Only runners/walkers that pre-register will be guaranteed an event t-shirt! 

Pre-registration rate will apply through June 23rd! 

$10-Students (High Schoolers & 2017 graduates)          $15-Students, after June 23rd- Race Day

$20- Adults       $25, Adults after June 23rd- Race Day
