Don Sommers Memorial 5K & Walk

For the last 4 years Kingsway Christian School has hosted the "Soar with the Eagles 5K & Walk". On October 12, 2014, Kingsway lost a very dear friend and collegue. Don Sommers, long-time Director of Development, passed away from complications after battling a rare form of squamous cell cancer.

To honor Don's memory and his contributions to Kingsway, we are changing the name of the event to the "Don Sommers Memorial 5K & Walk." All proceeds will go to the Non-Melanoma & Skin Cancers "Black Ribbon" Fund at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institiute.

The morning includes a 5K run, 1 mile walk, and the Eagle Dash Kids Race. The Eagle Dash is a 1/4-mile loop on the grounds of Kingsway and is open to children 0-10.
