The Kip Boulis 5K was started to fund the Kip Boulis foundation. Kip Boulis was a Perrysburg Police Officer who died in the line of duty on Memorial Day, 1976. Kip died trying to save people in the Maumee River. The people survived but we lost Kip. The foundation awards scholarships to Perrysburg High School seniors who are interested in careers in law enforcement. The scholarships are renuable for up to 3 years.
The 5K is a course starts at Woodland Park (Kip Boulis Drive), goes through the Three Meadows neighborhood and finishes back in the park. The 1 mile family fun walk is the loop in Woodland Park. Please join us and help us remember Kip on the 42nd anniversary of his line of duty loss.
There will be prizes for age groups and first fire fighter and police officer. 2018 D.A.R.E. graduates are entered for just $5 for the price of the t-shirt.
***An optional packet pick-up day will be held at Dave's Running in Perrysburg on Friday, May 25th from 4:30p-7:30p. Participants will be able to pick up their BIBs and t-shirts and avoid having to check in day of race.***
