The FIRST EVER SANDUSKY DONUT FEST

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!!! Onsite registration will be available, however, all the goodies are not guaranteed. Anyone is welcome to come out and spectate and support a great cause!

We are finally ready to bring back our Sandusky 0.5k to benefit Ability Works! We also have a new twist this year! We will be combining our 0.5k along with the successful donut-eating contest we had last year!

This will be a unique event that promises to be full of fun and fundraising for a great local charity that strives to be the provider of choice for individuals with disabilities.

The David and Jacquie Clark Family Fund is the presenting sponsor of the FIRST EVER Sandusky Donut Fest, benefiting Ability Works, Inc., that will be held from 11 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at the Jackson Street Pier in Downtown Sandusky, Ohio. Take a peek below for the details.

Event Schedule

• 11:00 am: "Gates" Open: 0.5K and Donut Eating Contestant check-in begins
  • Enjoy the beats by DJ Swiss while you get checked in.
• 12:00 pm: 0.5k Shotgun - Let the "Race" begin!
  • Redeem your tickets for donuts and beer throughout the 0.5k "Race".
  • Place your votes for your favorite donut and favorite brew.
  • We may add staggered start times.
• 12:40 pm: Winners of the best donut and best brew will be announced. 
• 12:45 pm: Donut Eating Contests Begin
  • All 0.5k participants are encouraged to continue the festivities as these contestants go head to head, or donut to donut, in an epic battle to eat the most donuts!
  • Round 1: First Responders Contest
  • Round 2: Amateurs
  • Round 3: Professionals
• 1:30 pm: Event concludes

• Donut Samples at each Donut Station
  • Donuts by C&C Donut Factory, Huron Donut Shop, Jolly Donut, and Sandusky House of Donuts
• DJ Swiss to keep the party vibe going!
• 50/50 Raffle

*Participants must be 21 years of age or older to receive alcoholic beverages and be able to show proof with a valid I.D

The Sandusky 0.5k "Race"

Stroll along the Jackson Street Pier "race" course while redeeming your tickets for delicious donuts and brews.                                                                             

Your registration includes:

• Tickets for brew and donuts
• Custom "Race" Medal
• Event Day t-shirt
• Oval Euro-style 0.5k sticker that you can attach to your rear windshield to show everyone how awesome you are!
• Swag bag with additional goodies
• Finish line photos for sharing on social media. #SanduskyDonutFest

"Race" Packet & Swag Bag Pick Up
The race packet with your swag bag will be available for pick up will be the day of the event starting at 11 AM. Additional information will be communicated to registrants via email, Facebook, and on this website before the event.

The 0.5k registration fee is $30, and 100% of ALL registration proceeds will go directly to Ability Works for the creation of outdoor sensory experiences!

The Sandusky Donut Eating Contest

Are you ready for sticky fingers and a belly full of donuts? Then "step on up" and register as an amateur or professional contestant for the 2022 Sandusky Donut Eating Contest, brought to you by Dunkin' and their generous donation! Don't wait too long to register because there are only 10 SPOTS for each category!

Contestants will be given 8 minutes to eat as many glazed Dunkin Donuts as they can! Amateur & Professional contestants will all be provided water and may eat with their hands. Amateurs will be permitted to dunk donuts in water, but Professionals are NOT permitted to dunk the donuts in water or any other liquid.

Professional: $1,000 Prize

• Professional Grand Prize, 1st place winner will receive an obnoxiously large trophy for their accomplishment as The 2022 Sandusky Donut Eating Champion! Plus, a $1,000 PRIZE!
• Professional 2nd and 3rd will receive less obnoxious trophies for their lesser (but still significant) accomplishments, along with smaller prizes than their victors. $750 for 2nd place and $500 for 3rd place.
• All contestants will receive a custom t-shirt as a reminder of the amazing time they had supporting a great cause and eating lots of donuts!

Amateur: $500 Prize

• Amateur Grand Prize, 1st place winner will receive an obnoxiously large trophy for their accomplishment as The 2022 Sandusky Donut Eating Champion! Plus, a $500 PRIZE! 
  Amateur Second and Third place will receive less obnoxious trophies for their lesser (but still significant) accomplishments, along with smaller prizes than their victors. $300 for 2nd place and $150 for 3rd place.
• All contestants will receive a custom t-shirt as a reminder of the amazing time they had supporting a great cause and eating lots of donuts!

The Donut Eating Contestant registration fee is $30, and 100% of ALL registration proceeds will go directly to Ability Works for the creation of outdoor sensory experiences!
