Spring into Shape Virtual 5K - Benefitting St. Mary’s Central, St. C

Sat May 9 - Sun May 10
2020 Virtual Spring into Shape 5K
The Spring into Shape 5K, benefitting St. Mary’s Central, St C. has decided to go virtual for 2020 in following guidelines to contain the spread of COVID-19.  The decision was not made easily as we greatly enjoy witnessing our SMC families and the St. Clairsville community come out to support our school and each other at the event.  Our goal in converting to a virtual 5K is to do our part in helping to keep everyone safe while continuing to support each other in our motivation to stay healthy and exercise by using social media.

What does a virtual 5K mean?
Participants register through Muskingum Multisports and Runsignup.  Registration will be free for this year.  Follow the Spring into Shape 5K Facebook page for motivation to keep exercising and spring into shape! Participants are welcome to post motivation as well.  The virtual race will take place Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th.  Participants run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) with their family members or solo while practicing social distancing at their own location.  This can include indoor activities such as treadmill or elliptical.  Then post your times by responding to your registration email and post photos to social media to share your results and the fun!  Instead of trophies and shirts this year, we will be giving big shout outs over social media to overall winners and participants.

We encourage you to sign up and have fun with this virtual 5K event.  While we know this cannot replace the fun filled event we usually offer each May, the virtual 5K is a great way to stay connected and motivate friends and family to stay healthy! “Come out” and join us in sharing your training tips and workouts throughout the month of April. Then celebrate your victory by participating in the 2020 Virtual Spring into Shape 5K and share your photos and results!
