Miles for Smiles

Location – Olander Park, 6930 W. Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio.
No on-site parking. Park at Tam-O-Shanter and at the Boulevard Christian Church across the street.
Pre-registration – Pre-registrations must be received and paid by Monday, May 1, for guaranteed t-shirts. T-shirts
can then be picked up at the Toledo Dental Society office Monday, May 15, Wednesday, May 17 or
Thursday, May 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or the morning of the 20th at the pre-registration table.
Registrations received and paid after May 1 will receive t-shirts as long as supplies last.
Race/Walk Day – The run/walk will take place rain or shine. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Arrive early enough to park
and check in if you are unable to pick up your t-shirt prior to the race/walk day at the Toledo Dental Society office.
The Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. The route will be clearly marked. Most people can complete a 5-kilometer
(about 3 miles) route in 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Pets are prohibited for the event.
The course to be used for the event is not a closed course and traffic will be maintained.
Kids' Fun Run – All registered kids will receive a participation medal, goody bag & t-shirt.
* Kids' run starts at approximately 9:15 a.m. Adult accompaniment required.
Awards – 5K Run: Medals awarded to top male and female runners for each of the following categories:
Age 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
Awards 2 deep given in each age group. Overall male and female first place awards.

Breakfast – Select breakfast foods will be available following the race, provided in part by Nick and Jimmy’s, Barry Bagels, and Okun Produce.
